Believe it or not, I was just imagining such a robot yesterday.

It's quite clear the creator never learned the simple process of taking the cube apart then putting it back together. Or removing the stickers:p Obviously people have very differing ideas about what entertainment is. Of course I just sat there and watched the whole thing...

The speed at which I was once able to take the cube apart and re-assemble it in solved form was legendary. I held the household record.

The record for a human solving the Rubik's cube is something like 11 or 12 seconds. The robot took 3 minutes (I suspect it was one of the best times accomplished) which is still really impressive considering its not using a modern PC, but its all being run in toy! The Mindstorm NXT processor can only do about 130 MIPS (a little faster than the classic Pentium) which isn't powerful enough to handle heuristic algorithms (the builder claims this ruled out solutions of less than 30 moves) but still enabled solutions of 60-100 moves. Excellent project!
