Springtime

It's here. The garden has been planted and shall flourish until the hail comes. God, I love this time of year.

Looked into buying a small greenhouse / cold frame but just gonna container garden this year. Trying to get some blue columbines to grow from seed in a rock garden I laid out last year. Time will tell. The wildflower beds were established several years ago and are doing well again. But damn its mid May and the aspens are still far from spreading their full wings. Definitely late this year.

With the altitude and all the trees on our little property I'm not sure I could make a garden grow in a small greenhouse. Full sun can be bad up here because it scorches things. But I'm not yet sure I have enough partial sun to make a go of it. Guess I should figure that out before committing to the greenhouse. :0)
